Trump Redesigns Air Force's Presidential, VIP Fleet
The redesign, which targets the Air Force's presidential and VIP fleet, marks the most significant exterior overhaul of the aircraft in more than six decades. The classic pale blue and white palette — a design that has become synonymous with American presidential air travel — will give way to deep navy tones, rich red accents, and gold detailing in line with Trump's well-documented design sensibilities.
Officials confirmed the repainting is being carried out incrementally, with aircraft undergoing the color transition during already-scheduled maintenance and repair windows rather than as a standalone operation.
The scope of the changes extends beyond the flagship presidential jet — officially designated Air Force One when the commander-in-chief is on board. Smaller C-32 aircraft used to ferry senior government officials, including top Cabinet members, will also receive the updated livery under the new directive.
