Bulgaria Rules Out Sending Additional Weapons to Ukraine—Defense Minister

(MENAFN) Bulgaria has no intention of sending additional weapons to Ukraine, the country’s defense minister said on Tuesday, according to reports cited by Bulgarian media.

Defense Minister Dimitar Stoyanov reportedly said that it is time for negotiations to take place, arguing that both sides should pursue a “just peace” acceptable to all parties involved.

He added that the war in Ukraine cannot be resolved through military action alone, describing the conflict as a prolonged positional war that continues to result in heavy losses without producing decisive outcomes.

Stoyanov also emphasized the role of the European Union in any future settlement, suggesting that Ukraine’s most urgent requirement is not additional weapons but rather manpower to sustain its defense efforts.
